In this project, I had the pleasure of working with the designer Alessandro Stabile to visualize a series of chairs for the company Belca. The goal was to create photorealistic renderings that would highlight the design, materials, and aesthetic appeal of each chair. Here’s a detailed account of the project:

Alessandro Stabile’s designs are known for their minimalist elegance and functional aesthetics. The collection features a range of chairs, each with distinct characteristics but unified by their sleek lines and modern appeal. The designs include both stools and chairs, crafted from materials like metal and wood, with a focus on simplicity and durability.

The first step was to create accurate 3D models of each chair. This involved translating the designer’s sketches and specifications into detailed digital models. Precision was key to ensure that every curve and angle matched the original design.

Applying the right materials and textures was crucial to bringing the models to life. I used high-resolution textures to mimic the look of metal, wood, and fabric, paying close attention to how light interacts with these surfaces. The aim was to create a realistic representation that showcases the quality of the materials used in the chairs.

For the renderings, I chose a clean, minimalist environment that would not distract from the chairs themselves. Soft, natural lighting was used to highlight the contours and textures of the chairs. Shadows and reflections were carefully calibrated to enhance the realism of the renderings.
